What we make

Cotton canvas tote manufacturing in Hyderabad

This is the bag most buyers mean when they say tote. Plain woven cotton, two handles, no lining unless you ask for one — and the one line here that takes a photographic print properly.

Specification

Fabric
8 oz to 16 oz cotton canvas; 10 oz and 12 oz are the usual picks
Handles
Self-fabric or webbing, bar-tacked at the stress points
Construction
Flat, or gusseted at base and sides
Decoration
Screen print, block print, or embroidery
Extras
Inside pocket, zip top, contrast lining, woven label
MOQ
100 pcs per design, colourways counted together

Weight is the decision that matters and it is the one most briefs leave out. Under 10 oz a loaded bag pulls at the handle seam and the fabric goes slack after a few uses. At 16 oz the bag outlives the campaign it was printed for, and costs more per piece and more per kilo to ship. For a bag that gets used once at an event, 8 oz is the honest answer and nobody will notice.

Bar-tacking is not an upgrade, it is the difference between a handle that stays on and one that does not. We do it as standard. If a quote elsewhere comes in noticeably under ours, that stitch is one of the first places to check.

Heavier canvas lasts longer and costs more per piece and more to ship. Under 10 oz, a loaded bag will pull at the handle seam.

Be honest about it

This is the wrong line for you if

  • You need the bag to be waterproof. Untreated cotton is not, and a canvas tote with a plastic coating on it is a worse version of a laminated jute bag.
  • The order is a giveaway at the lowest possible unit cost — non-woven does that job for less and does not pretend to be anything else.
  • You want a structured bag that holds its shape empty. Canvas slumps. That is a laptop or office bag brief.

If one of those describes your order, say so when you write in and we will point you at the line that does fit — including when that means a smaller order than the one you came for.

Questions

Common questions about cotton canvas tote manufacturing

What canvas weight should I order?
10 oz for a bag people will reuse, 8 oz for single-event giveaways, 12 oz or above for retail sale. Heavier lasts longer, costs more per piece and more to ship. Below 10 oz, expect the handle seam to be the first thing that goes on a heavily loaded bag.
Can you print a photograph onto a cotton tote?
Yes — this is the one line in our range that takes a full-colour photographic print cleanly, because the canvas face is smooth and light enough to hold detail. Jute and non-woven are not. Send the artwork at print resolution and we will tell you how it will sit on the weave.
Is organic cotton available?
Ask before you build a campaign around the word. Certified organic cotton has to be bought as certified stock with the paperwork to match, and that is a different supply line from standard canvas with a different minimum and a different price. Tell us at enquiry stage rather than after sampling.
What is the minimum order?
100 pcs per design. Three colourways of the same tote count together toward it.

Material, finished size, print method, quantity, and the date it has to land. That is enough to price it properly.

We will tell you if the material you have asked for is the wrong one for the job, and what we would use instead.
